Hello friends !

This spring has been a whirlwind of changes and hurdles, and thus this edition contains new additions to a collection of raw and personal pieces, which I hope you will enjoy.

As lists and goals have been thrown out of the window, let’s dive right in to everything I have managed to get to this month.

Dark Side of the Sun

I have finished another little background for my friend’s RPG project, which was another delightful challenge !

The Rabbit and The Dragon

As you may remember, I have been trying to complete a Lunar New Year themed drawing, but I had trouble taking it to a satisfying direction. As I let it rest, it has morphed into a diptych project.

Here is the first piece finished, and the next one, still in sketch form.

They’ll both include some text which will be done next month.

Seaside and Walruses

Here are a few study sketches for a new project we’re starting with a dear friend, involving lighthouses. These mark some of the last additions to the two sketchbooks I have been trying to complete !

WIPs and a stray sketch

As I’m always conscious of showing the full range of what I’ve been working on, and I don’t like leaving pieces behind, here are a few things left in progress :

Mental Health Series

Now for the raw stuff !

I have been dealing with anxiety since early childhood, and when things get too intense, one of the ways to cope and air it out is by drawing how I feel.
I’ve done a series of these raw and personal drawings revolving around anxiety and mental health starting a few years ago, but haven’t shared them much.
This time around, things have gotten intense once more, and I have yet again poured it on paper.

Here are two of them. They are very special, and I hope you can connect to them in a way. If you are familiar with these feelings, please know you’re not alone 💙 

What else ?

• As mentioned, I finally completed my two current sketchbooks ! Only a few more to fill up before moving on to a fresh one.

• If you enjoyed these personal pieces, let me know, and I would be happy to share the rest of them ~

What’s next ?

• Some animation ideas are stirring up in my head, and as Procreate Dreams is on my list of things to acquire soon, I’m hoping to start working on these in the next month or so.

• I haven’t done a list for next month yet, and as this is the season of spontaneity, we’ll be following our heart for the next few pieces.

Inspirations

• I’ve been listening to this EP a lot : Kora Café. It is very chill and sunny.

• This hungarian chants playlist is very inspiring as well, in a less chill vibe.

• Reading is slow, but I’m enjoying The Places that Scare You, and The Portrait of Dorian Gray

That’s all for this month ! I’m looking forward for life to chill a little and continue being creative, and bring new and exciting work next month 😀
