Coast to Coast

Québec Trip and Vancouver Summer

Hello friends !

It’s been a busy summer so far and this new edition has been slow to roll out - the heat is making my brain melt and, surprise, I found a job! So my time and energy for art have been slightly reduced, but we’re still filling sketchbooks.

As of writing this, the sketchbook I’ve been using is nearly full and half-scanned. I’m excited to share what I’ve done in the last couple months!

Québec sketching

As mentioned in the last newsletter, I had a trip to Québec in May, where I met my little niece, saw family and did some cool sightseeing.

Let’s start with airplane sketches!

Pencil, pen and stickers/washi tape

I watched Pirates of the Caribbean during my flight and got pretty inspired, so I doodled a few pages.

I’m really fond of this one - I might get a small print of it going!

Pencils

Of course, I had to sketch out my niece ❤️

But our sightseeings quickly made it into the pages!

A little homage to our friends’ beloved dog, who crossed the rainbow bridge.

I got some very cool additions to my toolset during the trip in one of the best stationery stores we’ve seen, and they’re too good not to share! I love a good highlighter, and those double tipped one are very fun.

Sketchy Summer

Now the summer is in full speed, the scorching sun taking the main stage with rainy days cooling things down a couple days at a time, and we still have a lot of sketching going on, including but not limited to vent art and some inebriation sketching. I’ll let you figure out which ones are which!

Ballpoint pen and felts

Heavy inspiration from one of my best friend’s 2025 playlist here.

I’ve been doing a bunch of sewing and sketched up some inspiration for a jacket I’m customizing 🧵

Coloured pencils

Learning how to draw coyotes!

Other Cool Art

I designed a bookmark to give out to friends and family, and have a place to have my information to share! I’m really happy how it turned out despite a bumpy production process.

Digital painting

My new portfolio is online! I’m very excited about and also pretty proud! I’ve been wanting to have a simple way to show my art without using a big platform or social media, and the results are exactly as I hope 😊

Feel free to browse and see what I’ve selected! I’ll try to update it as I have new work to show - after I’ve shared it here most likely!

What else ?

  • I ordered a couple of prints with a new platform to see how it would go, and it turned out great! I’ve gifted a few and everybody has been delighted. I’ll be listing them on my ko-fi shop as soon as I have the spoons for it 🥄

  • I’ve been sketching a lot still, and also playing around with painting a bit more!

  • Currently trying to post on TikTok again, if that’s your thing.

What’s next ?

  • More stickers and prints coming this summer!

  • My partner and I are moving - I’m excited to set-up a new work area!

Inspirations

This summer is already full of adventures, and continuing to be so! I’m pretty happy about my art, and I hope you enjoyed it too! Stay hydrated!

See you next month,
Chloé
